Pecanhood is a name derived from the pecan nut tree, a native American hickory nut tree that originates from North America. It's a popular tree nut that grows in Mexico, Australia, South Africa and other parts of the world. Pecanhood Group, get its inspiration from the pecan nut tree. A family-owned pecan nut farm is home to our head office with a number of trees planted in our orchard. It's located in Walkers Fruit Farm, South of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Pecanhood Integrity, a subsidiary, established in 2015 was inspired by the need to grow and advance Pipeline Integrity Engineering skills in Africa.

We provide Engineering consulting services, specifically Mechanical Integrity on pipelines and tanks, Project Management services, Process Safety Management support, Training and Marketing services for our partners.

Leadership Team

Neo Modise, Managing Director & Mechanical Integrity Specialist

Neo Modise has more than 26 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on solving operationally intensive Mechanical Integrity challenges across Southern Africa. He is the founding director of Pecanhood Integrity, a consultancy specializing in asset integrity and pipeline risk management

Neo has held technical and senior management roles at Natref Oil Refinery, Sasol Gas, and Egoli Gas. He holds engineering qualifications from Vaal University of Technology, the University of Pretoria, and Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK. He received specialized training in Pipeline Integrity Management from Penspen in the UK and Gasunie in the Netherlands. Neo is a registered Professional Engineering Technologist and a member of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management Institute.

Yolanda Modise, Executive Director

The Pecanhood Integrity Executive decisions are managed by Yolanda Modise. Yolanda is qualified in Culinary Arts and also heads the Pecanhood Foods subsidiary business. 

Yolanda is a self-taught and highly motivated Director with a clear vision in managing finances, marketing, HR and growing the Pecanhood brand.
Auria Mogola, Project Engineer

Auria has more than 20 years of experience in the petrochemical and oil & gas industries across Southern Africa. He is a Project Engineer at Pecanhood Integrity, where he applies industry best practices to pipeline and asset integrity management.

Auria has held key technical and management roles at Sasol Secunda, Sasol Gas, and Egoli Gas. He received certified training from the GTI Institute in Chicago, USA, and in pipeline management software from DNV GL in the UK. He also completed executive development at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in Johannesburg.

Arie Gratton, Integrity Engineer

Arie Gratton has more than 23 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specializing in Pipeline Integrity Management (PIM) across Nigeria. He is an Associate at Pecanhood Integrity based in Nigeria, with expertise in engineering, pipeline construction, maintenance, integrity, and project management.

Arie holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK, and has contributed to multiple infrastructure and integrity programs throughout West Africa.

Ipeleng Modise, Management Intern

Ipeleng Modise is a Criminology Honours graduate from the University of Pretoria. Ipeleng has experience in quality analysis from Vodacom's National Security department. 

Eletu Sikade, Accounting Intern

Eletu Sikade is driven by numbers and fueled by passion with a business management background from the University of Pretoria.
